Rachel Harris (she/her) joined Legal Council as a Homeless Advocacy Specialist and Avodah Corps Member in September 2023. She works with the rest of the Homeless Outreach Project to support LCHJ clients experiencing homelessness. Before her time at Legal Council, she attended the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a B.A. in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics. Her academic and extracurricular career have so far focused on exploring distributive justice, working on various progressive local, state, and federal level political campaigns and researching issues in legal philosophy. She is passionate about using the law to improve the material conditions of marginalized groups in large cities such as Chicago.
