Rebecca recently transitioned into her new Communications Coordinator position with the Development Team. Prior to that, she was a Senior Legal Advocate providing services to the Social Work Department at a local children's hospital. She is particularly passionate about immigration issues and rights. Fluent in Spanish and with experience defending immigrant children and their families. Rebecca’s interests and previous experience made her a crucial part of the CMLPC team. Previously, she worked at the National Immigrant Justice Center, and interned with Student World Assembly and UNICEF. Rebecca has focused her career on human rights and humanitarian assistance.  She went to the University of Illinois for her B.A. is Political Science and received her M.S. in Global Affairs from New York University.
