Nooreen Reza joined Legal Council in September 2021 as a Powell Fellow in the HIV/AIDS program, where she is working with our team to build a community-driven medical legal partnership. Nooreen is originally from Wise, VA. She earned her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law as a Law and Public Service Fellow and her B.A from Yale University. Prior to law school, Nooreen worked as a paralegal in the Housing Help Program at the Legal Aid Society of New York, where she assisted tenants facing eviction for nonpayment of rent. In law school, she participated in the employment law and international human rights law clinics and interned with the Legal Aid Justice Center and TakeRoot Justice. Nooreen is passionate about integrating community and movement lawyering practices into direct services provision and is very excited to be a part of Legal Council.
