Nadia is a legal advocate on Legal Council's Homeless Outreach Program assisting in SSI and SSDI applications. Originally from California, they graduated from University of California San Diego in 2019 with a degree in International Studies and a minor in Economics. While in San Diego, they primarily focused their research on the international migrant rights of minors and LGBTQ+ asylum seekers. They additionally assisted clients file domestic violence and eviction claims during their time as a JusticeCorps fellow at the Legal Aid Society of San Diego. Following graduation, they moved to Chicago and began working for the Chicago Jobs Council, where they assisted with research for workforce development programs and advocacy for driver's license reinstatement, reduced fines and fees, and more equitable transit policies across the city. Nadia is also fluent in Russian.
