Kevin Scott, Staff Attorney
Kevin joined Legal Council as a staff attorney in the Homeless Outreach Project (HOP) in March 2023. He will conduct outreach on the streets, in shelters, and in partnership with behavioral health providers to assist homeless individuals in securing Social Security disability benefits and other supportive services. Prior to joining the team as a full-time attorney, Kevin also contributed to Legal Council’s mission as a law student extern in the fall 2022 and a PILI summer intern in 2021. In between, he was an Edward Coles Fellow for the Human Rights Commission assisting in employment and discrimination matters. He was a Judicial Extern for Judge John Robert Blakey researching Social Security disability appeals, employment discrimination, and insurance cases. He is a recent graduate of Chicago-Kent College of Law and a former editor of his school’s Law Review. Finally, Kevin is an undergraduate from Northwestern University and an accomplished oboe player.
