Katie joined Legal Council in 2022 and oversees the Children’s Program. Prior to joining Legal Council, she spent 8 years as a staff attorney and then supervisory attorney at Legal Aid Chicago. There, she worked primarily on public housing and family law issues before specializing in public benefits matters. Katie developed in expertise in Social Security Disability and SSI cases, as well as in other health and financial support programs. Katie most recently was Associate Director of the Public Interest Center at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law where she supported students and alumni seeking careers in public interest law. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her JD from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law.
