Zoe Harris, Children's Mental Health Advocate

As a Children’s Mental Health Advocate through the Avodah Fellowship, Zoe supports Legal Council’s partnership with the Sinai Health System, serving as a liaison between the medical and legal systems to promote child and family well-being and health justice. Originally from the Bay Area in California, Zoe recently earned her B.A. in Psychology and minors in Educational Studies and Women’s & Gender Studies from Carleton College. As an undergraduate, she engaged with children and families in various capacities, including in classrooms, tutoring sessions, and summer camps, and completed her degree with a thesis on positive adolescent development. In approaching this work, Zoe is particularly excited to apply a social justice lens both to the individual and structural levels, to the benefit of children and families throughout Chicago.
